Gear talk:
I took almost 3000 photos, majority with my Canon 5Dmk3 + 35mm f1.4L. I also brought along an 85mm for a little more reach. Curiously, for a country as picturesque as New Zealand, the 20mm wide angle lens that I brought along stayed in the bag most of the time. I think I only used it for the milky way at Lake Tekapo,  and a few times at Lindis Pass and Authur’s Pass, maybe just 10 shots the entire trip.

I always bring along my trusty Olympus tough TG-2 whenever I travelled. It rained heavily during the Milford Sound cruise and I shot everything there with the TG-2. Check them out in Part2, in a few week’s time.

I also used my Samsung Galaxy Note 8, for insta-stories and times when I was just too lazy to bring the camera out of my backpack. The last 4 images you see here were taken with the Note8, very typical Samsung saturation.
